Respondr

Run every radio room from a dedicated radio dispatch console.

Group channels, users and gateways per site or operation — and run multiple radio rooms across locations from one platform.

The radio rooms screen lists five rooms (Main Control Room, Airport Ops Desk, Harbour Desk, Security Desk and Field Services), each with its description, the number of assigned users and the View, Edit and Delete controls.
Specifications

How the Respondr Mini, Pro and Max consoles are built

Respondr Mini, Respondr Pro and Respondr Max are the dispatch consoles for the control room: from the compact position with 3 PTT keys to the one with a 15.6" display and 24 PTT keys.

Each console runs Respondr Standalone on Linux and connects directly to the FT636B and FT638 radio gateways, with no central server: no single point of failure. If one console stops, the others keep working. The consoles are designed for mission-critical environments.

  • PTT keys: each single key controls one radio channel. When fewer channels are needed, two single keys become one larger double key that controls a single channel. Respondr Pro and Respondr Max also have a broadcast PTT key, which transmits on several radio channels at the same time; Respondr Mini does not.
  • Values may change with product revisions.
01 — Organization

One room per site, operation or team.

Each radio room bundles its own channels, users and gateways, so every site or operation gets a clean, isolated workspace inside the same deployment.

Channels, users and gateways per room
Multiple rooms across locations
Isolated workspaces, one platform
The radio rooms table describes each position and counts its users: Main Control Room has 5, Airport Ops Desk 1, Harbour Desk and Security Desk 2 each, Field Services 4.
02 — Audio management

Clear audio, even side by side.

Intelligent audio distribution prevents feedback (Larsen effect) between operators working in the same room, while keeping inter-room communication clear.

03 — Hardware

Consoles engineered for 24/7 duty.

The Respondr console series runs a hardened, security-patched Linux build with silent, fanless operation — hardware that holds up when failure is not an option.

The Respondr console series

The Respondr dispatch consoles come in 3 sizes for the control room. The dispatch software also runs in the browser and as a Windows client.

Respondr Max

The largest dispatch console in the series has a 15.6" high-brightness, ultra-wide viewing angle touchscreen. It runs silently with no moving parts and has a built-in gooseneck microphone, speakers and programmable PTT keys, with an optional handset.

Respondr Pro

Professional dispatch console with a 10.4" high-brightness, ultra-wide viewing angle touchscreen. Same silent fanless build, gooseneck microphone, speakers and programmable PTT keys as the Max.

Respondr Mini

The compact dispatch console has a 3.5" capacitive touchscreen, a fanless computer, 3 programmable PTT keys, a gooseneck microphone and a speaker, with an optional handset module.

Mission-critical design

A custom Linux distribution with security patches, silent operation and no moving parts. The hardware is engineered for continuous duty in demanding control room environments.

Optional handset

Every model accepts a handset, for private conversations or for positions in noisy rooms, without giving up the gooseneck microphone.

Browser & desktop too

The same dispatch console runs in the browser and as a Windows desktop client, so a backup or occasional position needs no dedicated hardware.
