Respondr

The right access, for every operator.

Role-based access control down to the single channel: who transmits, who listens, and who administers — with corporate-grade sign-in.

The Respondr users screen: a table of operator and console accounts showing role — Admin or Operator — audio priority, radio room, DMR, TETRA and SIP IDs, patch permission and the number of channels each account reaches.
01 — Roles & permissions

Control transmit and listen, per channel.

Define roles with channel-specific access: admins with full control, operators who transmit on their channels, and operators restricted to listen-only by policy.

The add new user dialog — email, an optional manual password, a role dropdown set to Operator and notification checkboxes — open over the users table with its role, audio priority, radio room and DMR, TETRA and SIP ID columns.
02 — Priority & identity

Critical voices always get through.

Audio priority puts supervisors and emergency personnel above regular traffic, while MFA, OIDC SSO and automatic lockout keep every account secure.

Hierarchical audio priority with override
MFA (TOTP) and OIDC single sign-on
Account lockout after failed attempts — NIS2 compliant
A single user’s settings panel with audio priority set to 10, permission to use patch switched to enabled, DMR ID 1001 and the Los Angeles radio room selected.
03 — Directory

Every operator, identified.

The contact directory shows online status and carries each user’s DMR and TETRA IDs, so every transmission on a digital network is automatically attributed.

An alphabetical contact list where each entry carries a green role tag — dispatcher user, group or person — plus its DMR ID or phone number, with call and message buttons at the right of every row.

Identity & access toolset

Identity, permissions and audit in one place — who may talk, who may listen, and a record of what happened on every channel.

Role-based access

Role-based access control with Admin and Operator roles, refined by per-resource policies. Define exactly which channels, gateways, users and settings each role reaches, and who is allowed to transmit.

Digital IDs

Assign DMR and TETRA IDs to users so digital radio networks identify the caller automatically. Every transmission reaches the console attributed to a person, not to an anonymous radio.

MFA

Multi-factor authentication with TOTP, compatible with Google Authenticator and any standard authenticator app. Enable it per user to protect dispatcher accounts with more than a password.

OIDC SSO

Single sign-on through your corporate identity provider over OIDC, configured per organization. Operators use the credentials they already have, and access follows the directory.

Account lockout

5 failed sign-in attempts lock the account for 15 minutes, in line with NIS2 expectations. Brute-force attempts stop at the door without an administrator having to intervene.

Audit trail

Respondr logs access and actions for compliance review, aligned with IEC 62443 SL2 and NIS2. When an incident is reviewed, the record of who did what is already there.
